Pourtant, il a \u00e9t\u00e9&nbsp;<strong>presque enti\u00e8rement d\u00e9truit<\/strong>&nbsp;par l\u2019occupant allemand. Mais pourquoi une telle destruction ?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">En 1917, \u00e0 une \u00e9poque o\u00f9&nbsp;<strong>l\u2019aviation militaire<\/strong>&nbsp;\u00e9tait encore naissante, les&nbsp;<strong>bombardements a\u00e9riens<\/strong>&nbsp;et le&nbsp;<strong>minage d\u2019habitations<\/strong>&nbsp;n\u2019avaient jamais \u00e9t\u00e9 utilis\u00e9s comme moyens de guerre. Le&nbsp;<strong>haut commandement allemand<\/strong>&nbsp;a choisi Havay comme terrain d&rsquo;exp\u00e9rimentation pour tester ces nouvelles m\u00e9thodes de destruction. D\u00e9but 1918, les habitants du centre du village ont \u00e9t\u00e9&nbsp;<strong>\u00e9vacu\u00e9s<\/strong>, et le 21 f\u00e9vrier, l\u2019attaque a commenc\u00e9.
